Sunil has almost three decades of work experience in Fund management and IT Consulting. He was one of the key Partners at Ascent Capital Advisors wherein over a 17 year period, he garnered considerable Private Equity investments experience in Indian public and private markets. He enjoys interacting with entrepreneurs and has been associated with several young businesses at the Board level dealing with strategic, financial and general management issues. Sunil's earlier stint as a Principal Consultant at Infosys Technologies has given him a rich understanding of the IT and BPO industries and international experience in client interactions and business consulting. Prior to that he had worked for close to a decade with Unit Trust of India across investment management functions and has been instrumental in managing "The India I.T. Fund", which had been rated by Lipper as one of the most successful offshore global funds. His earlier stint in debt markets and credit rating helped shape his fund management style by balancing creative optimism with a rigorous and conservative approach. Sunil holds a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT, Madras and an MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad. Sunil loves reading fiction, painting and has a keen interest in Carnatic and film music.
